Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed University) Dayalbagh, Agra
Dayalbagh Educational Institute was laid to foundation the year of 1915 by the renowned Radhaswami Satsang Sabha; initially it was a co- education school which was to offer its services of all people. This started off from the first day of the year of 1917.
This is institute, has always been up to giving education to its candidates and always providing them the sense of moral and spiritual values. This institute has evolved a lot with the passage of time. Due to its values and the popularity, this school had to open its high school as early as 1922 shortly following its conversion of a degree college in the year of independence i.e. 1947.
Dayalbagh Educational Institute was successfully registered to be a independent body in the year 1973 out of which a single platform and a single shed was launched to give recognition to all the siblings that play underneath. It integrated all the other working institutions such as School of Languages, art and culture, religion, comparative study etc.
It was in 1975 that the recognition for it’s under graduate courses following which the UGC and the state government of Uttar Pradesh confirmed and recognised it to be a Deemed University of the state in the year 1981.
The university offer courses in 5 domains basically, these domains inscribe all it courses, and these are:
1. Undergraduate courses: B.A., B.A. honours in 6 trades, B.A. (social science), B.A. honours (social science), B.B.M, B.Com and BSc and BSc (engineering).
2. Postgraduate courses: this includes M.A., M.B.A., M.Com, MSc. M.Ed., M.Tech, and M.Phil.
3. PhD: including all the pos graduate subjects and fields.
4. Besides these courses, the university also offers a range of diploma and certificate courses as well. The subjects for both may differ according to the availability.
The facilities that the university provides to its students are wide and varied. They all make up the standard of education to be high and quite respectable. They may include a vast computer lab with the supervised access to Internet, a central library, a multimedia lab, a science and instrumentation centre, language lab, special emphasis on games and sports, hostels and advanced health care facilities.
