Faculty of Engineering was established as Dayalbagh Engineering College in the year 1950 by His Holiness Mehtaji Maharaj. The institute was established keeping in mind the great need of trained technical manpower in India. The college was integrated into Dayalbagh Educational Institute ((DEI, Deemed University) as faculty of Engineering in the year 1981. The collges is recognized by UGC and AICTE. The college is government funded and there is no capitation fee. The colleges has highly dedicated, experienced and qualified faculty members who are always there to help their students with every possible means.

Infrastructure

The college has state of art equipments in its labs and workshops, library, book bank and computer facilities. The colleges has high student to staff ratio which is nearly 2.5:1. The library of this college has about 2 lakhs books. The library has subscription of many international and national journals.

Courses Offered

Undergraduate: B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical Engineering with and intake of 30 and B.Sc. (Engg.) in Mechanical Engineering also with an intake of 30.

Postgraduate: M.Tech full time and M.Tech part time with an intake of 13 in both.

Doctoral Programmes: the areas of current research are Soft Computing & Quantum Computing, Decision Support System, Electronics and Signal Processing, Air Pollution and Foundry Technology, Power System Economics, Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Energy Systems, Bio-Medical Engineering, Planning, Structural Biology of Biological Macromolecules (Biomaterials), Operations and Control of Power Systems and Supply Chain Management.
