Details of P.O Recruitment in IOB 2013
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has invited applications from graduates for the position of Probationary Officer (P.O). Graduation from any of the recognized University/institution with a minimum of 60% marks is the required qualification . Selection of eligible candidates is made through written test and interview. Written test is conducted in objective model and contains questions from topics of English Language, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, etc. Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of IOB before 29th July 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for P.O in IOB
Graduation from any of the recognized University/institution is the qualification required. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 60% marks (for general/OBC candidates). Candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to hold 55% marks only. Lower age limit to apply is 20 years. Those above 28 years of age are not eligible to apply. Relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit is given for OBC category candidates. Five year age relaxation is given for scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates.
Selection Process for P.O in IOB
Selection of eligible candidates is made through written test and interview. Candidates should obtain a specific cut off marks in each of the sections of the written test to qualify. Those who clear the written test are intimated with the date of interview. Total marks given for the session of interview are 50. General category candidates must obtain a minimum of 22.50 marks to qualify the section where as SC/ST/OBC category candidates must obtain at least 20 marks to qualify.
Written test conducted is of objective type. This online examination comprises questions from the following topics.
- Computer Knowledge
- English Language
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
Each section carries 40 questions to make a total of 200 questions. Section of quantitative aptitude and reasoning are given with 50 marks each. The sections of English language and general awareness are together given with a total of 80 marks (40 marks for each section). Twenty marks are given for computer awareness section. Total time given for the completion of the test is 2 hours.
Application Procedure for P.O in IOB
Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of IOB. Before submitting online application, candidates must remit the application fee of Rs. 500/-. SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs. 50/- only. Details on how to fill the application form is given in IOB website. After going through this job notification, candidates can start filling the online application form. Filled up application forms must be submitted to the concerned address after recheck.
