Graduates below 27 years of age are eligible to apply for the profile of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in Intelligence Bureau (IB). Applications can be submitted online through the website of the Ministry of Home affairs till August 12, 2013. Application fee is Rs.100/-. Female candidates and SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment. Selection process is made through written test and interview conducted by IB. Objective as well as descriptive model questions are asked for the written test.

Eligibility Criteria for IB Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2013

Bachelor degree in any subject from a recognized University is the basic qualification required. Computer proficiency is desirable for the job profile.  Age of the applicant must be between 18-27 years. OBC candidates are given with age relaxation up to 3 years and can apply up to 30 years. In case of SC/ST candidates, concession of 5 years is given in upper age limit.

Selection Procedure for IB Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2013

Candidate’s performance in written test and interview conducted by IB determines their selection to the job profile of ‘Assistant Central Intelligence Officer’. They must qualify medical test as well as character and antecedent verification process. Written test conducted for selection comprises of two papers, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I include objective model questions and Paper II comprises descriptive type questions. Total time given to complete both these papers is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Questions for Paper-I are asked from the following topics.

  • Comprehension
  • General Awareness/General Knowledge
  • Mathematical Ability
  • Reasoning

Questions for Paper II are asked on English language only. English language skills and analytical ability of the candidate are accessed through this paper.  Those who clear the written test are intimated on the date of interview online.

Application Process for IB Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Recruitment 2013

Applications can be submitted online through the website of the Ministry of Home affairs. Applications submitted through any other mode and uncompleted applications will be rejected.

Online application form is divided in to two parts. In the first part, applicant should specify their personal, educational and related details. Part II is related to payment options. Application fee is Rs.100/-. Female candidates and SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment. Others can make their fee payment through online or offline mode. Offline fee payment can be made using fee challan form through any of the branches of State Bank of India. Online fee payment can be done via internet banking or debit/credit card of State Bank of India. Applications can be submitted till August 12, 2013.
