Welding is very important in all industries as it is required in up gradation and maintenance of machines and tools as they wears and tears out. Eligibility
A candidate who has passed his class 12 from any recognized board is eligible to apply for the diploma course in welding technology. But the minimum requirement is a class 10 pass secondary school leaving certificate. The candidate must pass an entrance exam to be qualified for admission in the course.
Course Outlook
In the 2 year diploma course in welding technology the candidates are trained about the various kind of joints, metals, and styles and application of different types of welding. The candidates are provided practical and theoretical training and graded according to the performance in continuous formative exam and end semester exam. After the course the candidates are provided with in house training to make them ready for the industry.

The diploma holders in welding technology are appointed in various kinds of industries that deal with manufacturing, up gradation and maintenance of machine from large to small scale. They are also appointed in various construction companies. Companies dealing with ships, cars and other transport also employ expert welders. The pay scale is according to the skill and experience of the candidate.
