University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology was established in the year 1982 as a State Agricultural University. Professor Anwar Alam is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university is located in Srinagar with multiple campuses. The university was initially established as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. The main campus of the university is located at Srinagar. The university actually came into existence by an ACt passed by the State Legislature of Jammu & Kashmir. The university is named after Kashmiri Leader, Sheikh MohammAd Abdullah.

1. Recruitment of Director Research:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Doctorate degree in any branch of Agriculture/Veterinary or Allied Sciences. Candidates should also possess atleast 15 years of experience in teaching or research field with atleast 7 years on the rank of Professor.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Professor/Chief Scientist:
No. of posts: Only 10 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Doctorate degree in the concerned disciplines. Candidates should also possess atleast 12 years of experience in teaching or research field. Administrative experience in a teaching or reserach institution is deairable for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

3. Recruitment of Associate Professor/Senior Scientist:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Doctorate degree in the concerned discipline or subject. Candidates should also possess atleast 7 years of experience in teaching or research field out of which 4 years should be on the rank of Assistant Professor.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Professor/Junior Scientist:
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline or subject. Candidates possessing Ph.D. degree in the conerned subject are desirable. Candidates should have qualified UGC NET examination.

Application Fee:
