D.M. in the name of D.M. College of Arts stands for Dhanmanjuri College and the college came into existence in the year 1946. Initially, the college as the name implies began its journey with arts course alone and it grew up in enrolment and size when science and commerce courses were introduced in the years in the years 1951 and 1954 respectively. Since the college began to grew in size, it was bifurcated into D.M. College of Arts & Commerce and D.M. College of Science and the science college continued its functions in the same building and the Arts & commerce college began its educational services through the present campus.

Eligibility requirement and admission procedure:

B.A (General) courses:

For B.A General Courses, candidate must have completed their 10+2 with not less than 45% of marks and 5% of relaxation is applicable for sports people/son, daughter of ex-servicemen, physically challenged, disabled people, OBC and SC/ST candidates. The intake capacity of the college for general course is 120 students and admission to this course will be done purely on merit basis.

B.A (Honors) courses:

For B.A Honors courses in geography, sociology, political science, history, economics and English subjects, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with not less than 50% of marks. For other honors subjects, candidates must have secured not less than 45% of marks. Admission to honors courses in English, political science and geography courses are done based on entrance test and for other subjects, admission is done based on the merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination.

Hostel at the college:

D.M. College of Arts has a boys’ hostel with a capacity to accommodate 60 students and limited number of girls’ students of this college are offered accommodation at the G.P. Women’s College hostel located near D.M. College of Arts.
