Eligibility Requirements for B.Sc Nursing in Army College of Nursing
Female dependant wards of army personnel having completed intermediate (10 +2) from any of the recognized Indian University/Board can seek admission for B.Sc Nursing in Army College of Nursing. Age of the candidate must fall anywhere between 17 and 35 years (based on conditions).
General Eligibility for B.Sc Nursing in Army College of Nursing
Admission for B. Sc. Nursing is open for female dependant wards of army personnel (who are in serving/retired status). Widows of army men are also eligible to join. For both the cases, the army personnel must fall under any of the following categories.
- Serving or retired army personnel who are in receipt of regular pension/liberalized family pension
- Ex Army personnel are who have taken discharge/release after ten years of service
- Adopted female wards of Army personnel (adopted at least five years before admission)
- AMC / ADC officers with ten years of service and presently serving with Navy or Air Force
- APS personnel categorized as ex-servicemen as per the policy of Government of India
- APS personnel on deputation with a minimum of 10 years service in Army
- Army personnel disabled in action in Army
- Army personnel killed in action
- Army personnel who died during their service
- Dependant daughters (born as a result of second marriage with Army personnel) of the widows of Army personnel
- MNS Officers who are in receipt of pension from the Army
- MNS Officers who served the Army for a minimum period of 10 years
- TA personnel completed 10 years of embodied service
Step daughter of Army personnel are also eligible to join the course.
Educational Qualifications for B.Sc Nursing in Army College of Nursing
Eligible candidate must hold any of the following conditions.
Pass in higher secondary examination or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics is the basic qualification required. Candidates having completed HSC course with any other elective subjects and English are also considered (as prescribed by NCERT).
Pass in intermediate (10 +2) from any of the recognized Indian University/Board with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology (with practical test in course curriculum). Such candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject.
Pass in any of the pre-professional entrance exam after completing HSC with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology (with practical test in course curriculum). Such candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject.
Those who have completed first year of graduate degree with practical test in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology are also eligible.
Science graduates from any of the recognized Indian University with not less than two of the subjects among Physics, Chemistry, and Biology can join the course. Such candidates must have passed intermediate level exam with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Qualifications based on 12th class studies must be obtained with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams. Age of the daughters of Army Personnel must fall between 17 years and 25 years. Others (/Retired Army Persons/ Veer Naris/Wives of service) can have upper age limit up to 35 years.
