i completed my Polytechnic diploma in mechanical engineering from Government polytechnic Kerala.

Sorry, it is not possible to appear for Kerala PSC SI post with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
The eligibility for the post is that the candidates should have passed 10th, 12th and graduation from any university. The age limit for the Men is 18 to 28 years (for SC/ST/OBC 33 years). You can check the details in the Keral PSC website. The website link is Official Website
