I have completed my Diploma in ECE with 59% marks. So can I apply for Bank jobs? I have an interest to do Banking jobs. Kindly let me know can I apply or not?

For bank jobs you need degree qualification and diploma is not enough to make you eligible for bank PO and clerk jobs. If you want to get a pure bank related job then try to complete graduation.

Selection in PSU banks is through IBPS exam which is conducted for 22 banks. You have to pass written exam and interview for selection.

You can apply for following banking job entrance exams after bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering :

*Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection Common Written exam for Clerk, PO and Specialist officer exam.

*SBI clerk and PO exam.

For both these exam, minimum of bachelor's degree is required.

Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts Common Written examination for different posts like Clerk and Probationary officer in different national banks of India. Minimum qualification for this exam is graduation in any stream from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for this exam.

The age limit for clerk is 20-28 years and for PO is 20-30 years and upper age relaxations applicable for candidates of reserved category. You can apply for IBPS Clerk and PO exam with ECE with 59% marks. You are also eligible for SBI entrance exams for different post.

No you are not eligible to apply for Bank Jobs. Since now a days to apply for bank jobs you need to have minimum qualification of graduation. Otherwise you are not eligible to apply for it. One more thing Diploma is more or less equivalent to 12th not graduation.

So my advice is to complete graduation and during graduation you can prepare for bank jobs.

You can apply for IBPS CWE as well as SBI PO examination with your present academic qualification which is bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication engineering with 59% marks. Main requirement is that candidate must have completed bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

Percentage criteria is just passing one, you must qualify in all stages of IBPS or SBI exam to get any job in bank. Aptitude and General awareness along English knowledge is necessary.

Candidates having bachelor's degree in electronics and Communication engineering and 59% marks in it can apply for :

1. IBPS exam for Clerk and PO.

Age limit is 20-28 years for clerk and 20-30 years for PO.

2. SBI entrance exam for clerk and PO.

Age limit is 18-30 years for clerk and 21-30 years for PO.

Sorry that you are not eligible for Bank exam after completing a Diploma in ECE course. You need to complete Graduation or its equivalent qualification to be eligible for Bank job. I suggest you to complete B.Tech or B.E to be eligible for Bank Job. Those who completed their Graduation are eligible to apply for IBPS PO/Clerk examination.

To apply for bank jobs being a ECE holder is possible, as you can apply for the IBPS bank PO exam conducted for candidates to join in the post of probationary officer.

Candidate should satisfy the following in order to apply for the IBPS Bank PO exam:

# The aspirant appearing should have a citizenship in India,

# Age limit needed for general category candidate is 20-30 years and there are relaxation for other category candidates such as for SC/ST it is 5 years extra and for OBC 3 years extra.

# Regarding the educational qualification, candidate need to have completed a degree and that can be from any stream of education.
