Can I get admission in 3rd semester of Electrical Engineering Diploma in any UGC/AICTE approved institute if completed 3 years Regular Apprenticeship in Electrician?


Dear Sir,
I have completed my three years Regular Apprenticeship under Apprentice Act-1961 from BTC, Pusa, New Delhi in Electrician with 72% marks. I want to do Diploma in Electrical Engineering from UGC/AICTE approved institute. Is it possible to admission in third semester?

You need ITI diploma or its equivalent qualification to become eligible for direct admission in 3rd semester through lateral entry.

If your above mentioned qualification is equivalent to ITI then surely you will get admission through lateral entry. All you have to do is appear for the polytechnic entrance exam.
