One of the best courses other than BTech is Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) for the Diploma IT students. Candidates after completion of 3 years Polytechnic Diploma (IT) from state board of technical education after 10th standard are eligible to study BCA in many colleges. The BCA course is available in various colleges in India for the diploma students. Candidates can also study BSc Computer Science after completion of 3 years Polytechnic Diploma IT course. After completing Diploma in Engineering program, one may go for Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering. In most Degree Engineering Colleges, certain percentages of seats are reserved for diploma certificate holders. This entry is known as the lateral entry. After that, one may go for Masters education program which enable want to specialise in disciplines within the Information Technology Sector.
