Hello,
I am studying in 12 standard. I am interested in doing Interior Designing Diploma course after my 12th Board so can you tell me what is the requirement to take admission in NID for this course?

To pursue Interior Designing Diploma course in NID (National Institute of Design), you are required to write an Entrance Examination called NID Aptitude Test to be eligible.

Educational Qualification required to do Interior Designing Diploma course in NID:

>> Admission is open to candidates who have passed or who will appear for qualifying examinations under "Higher Secondary" (10+2) or equivalent like AISSCE/ ISC/ IB during the academic year of Exam.

>> Successful candidates shall be given admission to the academic program, by the institute subject to their passing the qualifying Examinations.

>> Since you are a 12th pursuing candidate, you are of course eligible to give NID Aptitude test to get admission in "Interior Designing Diploma Course" at NID.

Age Criteria:

For General Candidates - Upper age limit is 20 years

For Reserved Category Candidates - Relaxable by 3 years (i., 23 years)

Candidates who have completed their 12th standard or equivalents like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC are eligible to apply for Diploma course in Interior Design. So, as a student who has completed 12th standard, you are eligible to apply for this course.

How to Apply:-
To apply for admission, first you should download the application form from its official website.
admissions.nid.edu
Then you should fill up and post that application to National Institute of Design(NID), with self attested Supporting documents like SSC, HSC certificates and Demand Draft of Rs.1,500, which should be drawn from any Nationalized bank in favour of National Institute of Design(NID), Ahmedabad. In case of SC/ST candidates, a demand draft of Rs.750 is enough.
After completing this process, then the admission office will send you a Hall ticket through Post. If you can clear the Aptitude test and Interview, then you will get admission in NID.
