Re: Should I do diploma in banking for bank PO?
The entrance exam for bank PO does not have computer as a subject. If you do not qualify in that then having a computer degree will not help. If you qualify you will not get any added benefit for computer proficiency certificate. Main emphasis is on the qualifying exam which is tough and you need special kind of preparation for that.

Re: Should I do diploma in banking for bank PO?
There is no need to go for any diploma in banking if you already have a B.Sc degree which is the minimum required for a PSU bank PO job. In private banks there are specialised course offered by the bank itself like ICICI.
For PSU bank PO you need to crack IBPS PO which us conducted every year. Selection will be based on written exam and interview. Degree in any discipline is the minimum requirement. |

No, there is no need to pursue Diploma in Banking course in order to become a PO (Probationary Officer). In order to become PO, first get the information regarding Eligibility Criteria. The basic educational qualification required is as follows.
>> The basic educational qualification required for the post of Probationary Officer or Management Trainee is "Graduate Degree" or a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university. >> If you have completed Graduate degree, then I suggest you to first get good command over the below section rather than going for other diploma courses. ** Reasoning Section ** General Awareness Section ** Computer Awareness Section ** Current Affairs Section ** Marketing Awareness ** Banking Awareness ** General English ** Quantitative Aptitude or Numerical Aptitude |
