I am 24 years old and want to study Diploma in Education. So, would like to know the minimum and maximum age criteria for applying to D.Ed course i,e, Diploma in Education. Can someone please guide me with the required details soon? Thank you!

Diploma in Education is a 2 years long course which can be pursued at any stage of your life. In order to pursue this course you should have completed your 12th standard in a any stream with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board.

The candidates will selected for admission on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination conducted by the respective colleges.

Age Criteria and Eligibility Criteria Required to pursue Diploma of Education (D.Ed):

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, there is no certain age criteria required in order to be eligible for pursuing Diploma of Education (D.Ed) course.

Minimum age Criteria - No age bar

Maximum age criteria required - No age bar required

Although there is no age criteria required, you must definitely meet the required educational qualification.

<> You must have completed 12th Class in 10+2 pattern with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board/ institute.

<> The admission process generally done through Entrance Examination and or on the basis of performance in the board examination.

<> The duration of this Diploma in Education course is about 2 years. After completion of the course, you may find employment opportunities in Private schools, Government schools, Coaching Institutes...etc.,

Candidates with the minimum age of 17 years are eligible to apply for the Diploma in Education (D.Ed) course in various colleges. The minimum eligibility to apply for the Diploma in Education is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examinations. Diploma in Education course is useful for those who wish to pursue their career teaching profession. Diploma in Education course is useful for those who want to teach primary students in the age group of 2 to 12 years. Candidates through the course gain knowledge in the following components like classroom management, educational psychology, educational administration, etc.

Diploma in education eligibility:

The minimum qualification to apply for it is a pass with 50% in 10 +2 with Science or Arts group. The aspirants are required to have an aggregate of 50% in some institutions.

The candidate should attend a common entrance examination and the test is held in almost all states of India.

Minimum age should not be less than 18.

Eligibility criteria for Diploma in Education:

- Aspirants must have minimum qualification of 10 + 2 in any discipline.

- Minimum percentage should not be less than 50% but yes there is relaxation in percentage given to reserved categories.

-One has to appear in Entrance exam in order to do this course.
