You need to keep mortgage of property in case you take education loan more than 7.5 Lakhs. The property which you can keep as mortgage will be decided as per the loan amount you are seeking. Usually the properties which can be mortgaged for education loan are - land, house, vehicles, investments, jewellery, antique pieces, etc. It depends on the bank from which you are seeking loan.
