Dear AIEEE aspirant,

AIEEE is an engineering entrance exam that was earlier conducted for admission to NITs, CFIs, etc.

But now AIEEE exam has been renamed as JEE Mains Exam.

JEE Mains Exam will be effective from 2013 and onwards.

JEE Mains Exam for 2013 will be commenced on 7 April 2013.

JEE Mains Exam Application Forms are available now on the official site i.e. jeemain.nic.in

Last Date to apply for JEE Mains Exam is 15th December, 2012.

In AIEEE 2012, about 11 lakh candidates appeared and about 30,000 candidates secured their seats in AIEEE Colleges including NITs, CFIs, etc.

In India, there are about 30 NITs all over India.

So, in order to secure a seat in NIT, you must bring your AIR less than 20,000 to grab a seat in NIT (National Institute of Technology).

Now, in JEE Mains about 15 lakhs candidates are expected to appear next year, so competition will be more tough now.

You will have to bring your AIR less than 20,000 anyhow to secure a seat in NIT.

But if you belong from any scheduled cast or tribe than your criteria will be different it can go upto 50,000

see if you want to get chance in NIT's then you should have prepare well for AIEEE and you have to score good score in state level.Besides this you have a good percentage of marks in 12 th and 10 th standard (above 60%).Otherwise you will face problem in campusing requirement.
