I AM DOING MY 2ND YR (BPC)..N WANT TO DO EITHR BIOTECHNOLOGY OR BIOINFORMATICS..I WANTED TO KNOW IF I CAN PURSUE WITH THEM WITHOUT EAMCET..OR DO I NEED TO WRITE EAMCET OR SOME OTHER ENTRANCE TEST ?AND 1 MORE THNG WE HAVE A DEGREE AS TOO FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY SO WICH IS PREFERABLE A DEGREE OR 5 YEAR BE?

1.Bds (4 years course)
2.Bsc nursing (4years course)
3.BPT(4years course)
4.BOT(4years course)
5.pharmacy(4 years course),that are all the professional course
graduate course like Bsc (botany ,zoology)these are all three years course.

If you have interest in biology and dont want to do MBBS then a course in biotechnology is a valued course for you . Since you can apply either a degree course or a professional BTech course in biotechnology.
From my point of view 2nd is the best option for you. You can apply in these institute for BTech in biotechnology:

Among these Admission to both IIT programmes is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

is BCA can be done by taking biology with computer science

Many students will believe that choosing Bi.P.C is to settle as a doctor. But after the completion of 10+2 in biology, you have variety of options to join.
-D.pharm
-B.pharm
You can get admission into this course either by EAMCET exam
or by E-CET after the completion of Diploma( D-pharm)

At graduation level, you can join the courses like
-Biotechnology
-Microbiology
-Genetics

In addition B.Sc nursing is also a good option.
