well the exact rank cant be said because it varies every year...
but to be eligible for AIEEE counseling you musst get a rank below 30000.

nit-surathkal is one of the best of the nits ......so it is not be so easy to get into it.....you will have prepare very hard .try keep a rank between 5000 - 10000 then you can surely have a chance.
for cse As it is very much prefered a rank near to 5000 can assure a seat but it is very uncertain to predict the exact rank for a seat because it changes every year.
But try hard & best of luck cos there's always a chance......
