Is 12th standard compulsary for enterin in indian air force?Are we nt eligible for indian air force after s.s.c and after that completing diploma in mechanical engineering?

No,You are not eligible for Indian Airforce after SSC and after completing diploma in mechanical Engineering as there are three branches of Air Force i.e. Flying, Ground duty and Technical branch. The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch).

For all the other branches a graduate,post graduate & Engineeers (Except Flying) have openings as an Officer in the Air force.

So a candidate must be 12th pass from a recognized board to get into the Flying Branch.
