Great dream like many youth boys.
12th passout/appearing students can join Indian Airforce as a Pilot by appearing in NDA ( National Defence Academy) examination conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. To join Navy and Army wing the candidate must have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level. Generally a student get 3-4 attempts to appear in NDA exam but there is only and only one attempt in a life to become pilot(while interviewing). So such a great apportunity in life but very rare to qualify. |

Re: Pilot in Indian Air Force after 12th standard?
Sure you are eligible to join after the 12th standard. You can do so by appearing for the NDA exam. But it is a must that you should have studied science subjects during 12th standard. Also you should be at least 16 1/2 years. There is maximum limit of 19 years too. On clearing the written test you will also need to appear for the physical fitness test. You also have the option to join after graduation. You should have either pursued Bachelors in Science i.e Physics and Maths or Bachelors in Engineering. You will need to appear for the CDS exam. The age limit for this exam is a minimum of 19 years. The maximum is 25 years. You can decide based on what you feel is best option for you.
