Being an Engineer there are many ways to get in Defence services.

UES: university entry scheme,is meant for all male and female candidates those who have attend there first university degree,that is (Bachelor degree) or B.tech. Notification for it are released In Employment news.

SSC: short service commission,is ment for all male and female candidates those who have B.sc/M.sc (Physics,radio,electronics,) or B.tech/M.tech (civil,mechanical,electronics,electronics & talecommunication,Aeronautical etc.) with atlest 60% aggregate including all semester.Notification for it are released In Employment news.

CDS: combined defence service,you can enter to army by cracking CDS exam conducted by upsc twice every year,provided you have'nt crossed the age limit of 23 years.Notification for it are released In Employment news.

NCC Special Entry Echeme: This scheme is meant for all those who have acquired NCC "C" certificate after two years in it at senior level.Qualification must be anything Bachelor in any field or Engineering.This entry scheme occurs when required,therefore keep reading Employment news always.

Fast Track Entry Scheme: are meant for recruiting Engineers through campusing.Like wise MNC's This time IAF has also introduced this scheme for recruiting young Engineers in IAF in technical branches.This scheme held across the selected Engineering Institutes of India.

This scheme also takes place in Various "Career/Educational fares" or by Organising Rally etc.


Advice: Keep reading Employment News all the notifications are released there, as and when occurs. It is published every Saturday through central Government and distributed to all parts of India.

Besides these there are also other entry which are announced from time to time.

hey friend first you get your graduation done then through the entrance xamination after dat you have a very bright chance to enter the army..

friend,now as you are a diploma holder ...if you go for graduation in engineering then after that you will be eligible to appear for a lot of exams concerning defense forces like......cds,ues and can even apply for direct selection in 3rd year......

UPSC conducts the CDS eaxm for army officers. you need to be a graduate for this. most important is that there are certain conditions regarding physical fitness also. you not only have to pass the written exam but also the fitness test.

an advertisement has been issued regarding this. the exam is in february 2011.

Unmarried male and female candidates can join the army. They must be physically fit as per the norms. The UPSE is the authority body which carries out written exam for Defense force. NDA, IMA (DE) and OTA, SSC etc are few of the exams. As and when UPSE publish recruitment notice candidates can apply if they find themselves eligible. The eligibility criteria for joining in India Airforce is that you must attain the age of 19 years and above.The Candidate should be unmarried and should be a male.The candidates should have passed XII standard and have studied physics and maths.Minimum physic standard is required by the UPSC board.The forms will be available from 12th march 2011 and the last date of submission is on 18th april 2011.The date of exam is on 21st or 28th august 2011.

--you should be 12th pass....ie. should be at-least 17yrs old.....
--so try for it when you cross 17th or your 12th standard board exams....

2) write the NDA exam after 12th and can become an officer .

The minimum educational qualification required for the Indian army is 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60%.

Age limitation is between 16.5 -19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it.

Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 6/6 eyesight.

No color blindness and chest expansion of 5 cm.

No worries you can possibly join in Indian army by writing the NDA,CDS exam.

Indian Army is one of the defence service and for joining in it you have to write the defence service entrance exams.These exams are conducted 2 times in a year and only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the exams.

Eligibility for NDA:

• The candidates must be a citizen of India.
• The candidates must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years.
• The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.
• The candidates must have completed +2 from a recognized board.

Eligibility for CDS:

• The candidates must be a citizen of India.
• The candidates must have a age limit of 19-24 years.
• The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.
• The candidates must have completed degree from a recognized university.

Being a mechanical engineering student, Indian Defence Force technical branch can offer you a great career apportunities.

Following entry modes are exclusively available for engineering students:

1. Direct entry Scheme- Aeronautical engineers recruitment : Candidates having aeronautical engineering degree of mechanical or electronics are eligible to appear for this entry mode. This is direct entry mode i.e no need to appear for written exam.

Candidate must have engineering degree with minimum 60% in the subjects as per advertisment. Final year appearing students within the age limit of 18 to 28 can also apply. Advertisment would be in employment news paper in the month of January and July every year.


2. University Entry Scheme (UES) : This entry mode is exclusively for pre final year engineering students having age in between 18 to 28 years. The candidate must pursuing engineering degree in the subjects as mentioned in the advertisment. On comletion of degree, the candidate must have 60% marks. Advertisment would be published in employment news paper in the month of Janusry of every year.

After completion of diploma course you can join in Indian Army..
For that you have to appear in NDA exam..

Eligibility for NDA exam:-

*Candidate must have complete the 12th or its equivalent course from arecognized central/state education board.

*candidate must be a citizen of India.

*Candidates age should be in between 16.5-19 years.

*Candidate must be physically fit..

You have to fulfill all these criteria to appear in NDA exam...

CDS: Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) is conducted by upsc (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice every year for entry into all three defence services.
Eligibility criteria is different for all three. For ARMY- graduation in any background,with at least 60% aggregate Age Limit- 25 years.For Navy: B.sc(with Physics and Mathematics) or B.tech/B.E Age Limit- 22 years.For Airforce- B.E./B.Tech,graduate in any decipline with Physics or Mathematics at class 12 Age Limit- 23 years.

You can also enter in there logistic cadre ,the minimum qualification for logistic cadre is B.sc(pcm),BCA,LLB,etc.You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army,navy

you have to complete your graduation first in order to be eligible for CDSE,and now you are a diploma holder.so get lateral entry into some college complete your degree first and then apply for CDSE.
