One can join Indian navy after 12thclass if you have physics, maths and chemistry combination.so as do join merchant navy..

but i think in 12th class commerce we dont have chemistry and physics so i think you cannot join

but you can join INDIAN NAVY after doing graduation...


Then you can apply for SSC of various armed forces like army,navy,airforce..

The notification of officer in armed force come in employement newspaper so have
a knowledge of it...

or either you can apply for CDS exam too!!

The physical requirement:--

• should not be color blind.

But not in merchant navy!!

its not a Good dicision, niether its possible. For entering into Merchant Navy After Matriculation, the age limit is 21 year and since you are persuing your BBA I dont think you are within age limit.
However, even if you are within age limit. then did you know what type of Jobs are available for Matriculation candidates. They can find job only in Cooking, Waitering, Saloon Rating departments.
It's not wise decision.
however, if you are eger to get there, you can get there after completing MBA (Hospitality ) you job there will be as same as you find in Hotel, Resorts and Resturaunts but the thing is that you will be working in 5 Start Cruise. But since vacancies are lesser only few those who have placement facility in there institutes.

You can join Merchant Navy as GPR (General Purpose Rating) for which minimum educational qualification required is 10th and only male candidates are eligible.

G P Rating is six months off-board training course conducted by various government and private marine institution all over India twice in a year. As i said minimum educational qualification required is 10th passout but maximum age acceptable is upto 21 years on the date of commecement of training. Instutes conducts seperate entry test within the institute to examine the aptitute of the candidate. You can pre register for the test by contacting respective institute.

After attaining training you would be provided CDC which is issued by shipping authority of India that will give you permission to sail on the international sea ports. After doing three years job with same designation you would be allowed to appear for OPEN-MATE exam for the post of junior officer and after qualifying furthur series of exam and experiance you would be allowed to appear for cheif mate examination which is for the post of Captain or Chief Officer.

10th passout students can join Merchant Navy as GPR but as per your date of birth you are not eligible to join merchan navy till 2013 because for GPR training candidate must be of age between 17 1/2 to 21.

You can think of what kind of work a general purpose reating cadet is expected to do. The trip of cargo ship could be as long as continuous 45 days in between the sea, 1000+ km from land. In the trip the whole maintenance of ship is carried out by GPR boy which could be washing, painting, welding, repairing, whashing, cutting, cooking, cleaning or even steward jobs. That what exactly is GPR about but GPR will get several chance to become chief officer or even Captain ( average salary of a Captain is Rs 1,50,000 to 5,00,000 per month) by appearing in exams along with shipping experiance.

dear sir please tell me i passed 10th with 74.4percentage but i am not had any more education. Please tell me any job oppertunity for me at indian navy or merchant navy...
