my colz is not giving us any stipend. so pls tell me how to applly for it. am a gate candidate.

no.
it depends on performance in the exams ,
you have to maintain and minimum grade of 6.75 to get stipend,
if you get less than that you are going to miss your stipend for the next entire semester or until when your percentage comes above 6.75

the stipend for the gate qualified students as of now is rs.8000 per month,
there are talks that it may be increased from the month of January,we have to wait and see

Sir/madam,I qualified in GATE-2009 & got admitted to RVCE bangalore under VTU. Recently our GATE-stipend has come to our college. But here the college people are giving the stipend only for 10 members under GM/OBC. But there are 11 eligible candidates in our class. If they consider GATE performance(either score or percentile) then I will get it,but if they consider w.r.t seat allotment by the VTU I will not get it. Because there was a OBC reservation in the state university. I will come under GM category. Please anyone reply whether college people should the stipend or not?? If not,how can I apply individually??

Sir, i have a doubt about MHRD scholarships i know that the candidate must be GATE Qualified ... .many of them say that the MHRD scholarships are not given to the students in private engineering colleges and deemed universities joined with a valid GATE score at the time of admission ..is that true..i am waiting for your answer....

MHRD scholarship varies from colleges to colleges. You need to get minimum qualified marks for to eligible for mhrd scholarship

It varies from 5000 to 8000.

IT IS ARECENT ISSUE. I AM PURSUING MTECH IN nit nagpur. stipend is 8000 only. but fee structure is attroicious. we have to pay nearly 50000 each semester. in iit it is increased to 12000, the stipend. can anything be done bout this? we r definitely not equal to state colleges

There is no application for getting stipend, it is processed through the college you are admitted, you wont get stipend if you are not studying in any of the MHRD, AICTE recognised colleges

can some one tell about scholarship in lovely professional university. MHRD is affiliated this university or not.....

May i know the list of colleges providing MHRD scholarship for the gate qualified students for m tech under Karnataka examination authority or VTU? Becoz i heard that in some of the colleges under VTU, like BVB and SDM and RV the scholarship will not be given ? Plz any one help me in this regard.

I am a sponsored candidate undergoing M Tech at IIT and not eligible for teaching assistant ship.however our HOD is compelling us to do the TA duties. when I put up application on clarification to Dean , he did not forward it and threatened for consequences. Although I requested him to take up with my organization also but he is not willing and insisting to do the duties. If u can help with MHRD policy.further I am a defense sponsored candidate. Thank u

I am student of ME(EC) from Government Engineering College, Surat. I am GATE Qualified in 2010 and its base i have taken admission
in ME(EC) at Govt. Engg. College, Surat, Gujarat in 2010. But, in our bech of ME(EC) students have not get any scholarship
from MHRD even though we have qualified student of GATE.

After getting teaching assistantship in first year mtechwith one gate scorecard of 2011, can I get another schollership next year if clear gate again and take admission somewhaere again for 2 years from 2012?

Generally it varies with college .

MHRD scholarship varies from Rs.3000 to Rs.5000/ month.

But for that you have to maintain at least grade 6.75.

unfortunately... due to some administration problems between College and AICTE, GATE fund is not received by us... we put lot of efforts for resolving this issue.... recently... college received sclorship for 2007-08 and 2008-09. so we got the amount partially... almost 55600/-. so now i am rising my query.... who is the responsible for this thing...
either college.... or AICTE?.... i enquired in college... they are conveying it is the problem from AICTE... then i put many mails to MHRD/AICTE.... but no use.... so atleast by this forum i want to know the reason, sothat i can able to proceed further....
