Interdisciplinary Courses like M.Tech in Industrial Management, M.Tech in Systems Engineering, etc are also offered by BHU. Generally, one can seek admission to these courses through GATE exam. Admission Procedure for M.Tech programmes in BHU

Admission to M.Tech courses in BHU is offered on the basis of valid GATE score. Apart from this, Institutes under BHU often conducts written test and/or interview as final screening process.

Admission to sponsored candidates is done on the basis of written exam and/or interview conducted by the concerned department/institute. GATE score is not necessary for such group of candidates. Those who are sponsored by Government Departments/PSU or any other well-established industries, comes under sponsored category candidates.

Foreign candidates who get qualified in various scholarship schemes can also seek admission. In this case also GATE score is not mandatory for admission. Admissions are offered on the basis of the recommendation done by the concerned authority that offered the scholarship. Usually the Ministry of Human Resource Development or the Ministry of External Affairs offers scholarship schemes. Category wise reservation of seats is offered for OBC/SC/ST candidates and physically challenged ones.
