Sir, up to 6th studied at Visakahapatnam - andhra pradesh again , I studied 7th 8th 9th 10th icse kolkata, than again intermediate at visakhapatnam, my father , mother are native of Guntur and still residing at Guntur, please let me know I should be considered as local candidate (AU) or non - local candidate for AU ..also please let me know the defnition of UNRESERVED(UR) Catogory...thanking you

Sorry friend you will come under non-local category but there is no problem if your score in EAMCET exam is high then you can get definitely in waht college you want to study. i studied in puttaparthy from 3rd std to 10th std in CBSE pattern. and now iam studying in Bangalore in 2 pattern under CBSE board only. i successfully completed 8 years of education in Andhra Pradesh in CBSE pattern from - 2002 to 2010. my both parents belong to Andhra pradesh. i am going to appear for the 2012 EMCET entrance exam. kindly tell me whether i belong to local category in EMCET entrance exam

My daughter is into class XI preparing for Medical stream.

Her status:

She is OCI card holder
She is has been studying in Hyderabad since 2006 Meaning class 5 thru class 12 so she has 7 continous years of education in AP(OU area). Per definition of GO 646 So she is local candidate here. But ambigoulsy the eamcet 2012 states that PIOcard holders and OCI card holders are considered non local.

Has anybody come across this situation.
