if you are an amiete or at least grad.iete you may pursue gate for eligibility to follow mtech which is a reqrmt for asstt prossor in aicte approved college of engg ,alternately u may do amiiete and pass gate for lect in diploma college

Eligibility criteria:-------------
Must have passed Masters Degree examination from a recognized university in the subject you would like to teach.
Must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the masters degree examination.
Must have qualified National Eligibility Test for Lectureship conducted by University Grant Commission.

To become a assistant professor in any college you have to fulfill the essential qualifications lead by UGC(University Grants Commission).

Eligibility For Assistant Professor-

1. Good Academics record with atleast 55 percent marks ate Master's degree level in relevant subject.

2. Must have cleared the NET/SET/SLET exam.

3. Candidates with Ph. D. degree are exempted from the requirement of clearing NET/SET/SLET exam.

My brothers son has passed BE (E&c)in second class from Govt college of engg and M tech(network &internet engg) in first class from JWAHARLAL NEHRU NATIONAL COLLEGE OF. ENGG A PRIVATE AICTE RECOGNIZED COLLEGE UNDER VTU.Is he eligible for Asst Prof post in privat engg colleges.Is it mandatory to have first class in both BE and MTECH/ME.Whether first class in one of the two(BE or M TECH) is enough.Any one who are aware of this are requested to clarify please.
