Scope After CS

The number of qualified company secretary is less then required. Following are the types of companies which has to appoint a company secretary professionals.
Companies willing to get enlisted in the stock exchange
Companies with paid up share capital of 2 crores or more

Following are the job profiles for a qualified company secretary.
Company secretary and finance officer
Company secretary and Executive officer
Company secretary and vice president
Chief Compliance officer

Apart from this, a professional can also practice independently. Companies with paid-up share capital of more than 10 lakhs and less than 2 crores are bound to take the service of a company secretary professional for compliance certificate.
Apart from this, such professional can practice independently in the following areas:

you must have at least qualified +2 level of examination from a recognized board. Once you qualify the exam, you are eligible to enroll yourself for the Foundation Program.

The Foundation Program is followed by Executive Program, Professional Program and a 15 months practical training.

The fee structure of the course are as follows:

Foundation Program- Rs. 3600
Executive Program- Rs. 7000 for commerce graduates and Rs.7750 for Non commerce graduates

Company secretary course eligibility criteria:-


There are several stages in company secretary course ie, foundation programme, executive programme and professional programme.

In addition to it the student needs to undergo 15 hours of training session.

Foundation programme can be pursued by students who have passed 10+2 exam with arts, commerce or science subjects.

For executive programmes only the graduate students are eligibile expect for the fine arts students.

And lastly those who clear the executive programme can dothe professional programme.

Scope of the course is very good as India is facing a huge shortage of company secretories and that is why the ICSI has received guidelines from the government to release suitable amount of candidate to fill upi the GAP so no need to get worried about the CS course scope as you will not face any kinda difficulty with that


As we know that CS stands for Company secretory and it is a course which is widely popular among various student of commerce.

There are 3 main level of CS including a 15 months training which is mandatory.

There levels are as follows "=

Foundation :- Can be done after 12th class and the fees is 3600/-

Intermediate :- Can be done after B,com or after clearing the Foundation level. The fees for the course is 7000/-

Finals :- Can only be done after Intermediate level and the fees is 9000/-
