hi...my percentile in gate is 97.7 in electrical..i also belong to OBC category...what are the probable colleges to which i can apply?

it doesnt amtter you are from which catedory you can apply to any good college if you have scored good YOU CAN APPLY TO ANY COLLEGE WHICH ACCEPTS GATE SCORE FOR ADMSSION

there is a provision made for the OBC category students for the admission...and you have scored really good marks so according to me you are eligible for NIT, IIT and some other private colleges.

there is reservation for OBC candidates and your percentile is good so you can apply in most of the NITs

how much gate percentile is required for getting into iit & is there any reservation available for obc& also whether the reservation based on caste as in the state ..??

dear friend, as per your GATE percentile, you can apply for IIT roorkee,IIT guwahati, BHU IT, & all NITs.
But i want to inform you friend, the admission in any college is on the basis of GATE score not by percentile.
you belong to OBC , it is very good for you because there are some reservation for OBC students.
kindly apply any college which is suitable for your GATE score.

minimum marks 22.5 for selection of OBC in GATE exam.

if you get more marks then Admissions to good college like... IITs (IIT roorkee,IIT guwahati, BHU IT,) & all NITs ,jadavpur etc

i dont know how to join in college and i dont know wat are all the colleges ll i get for my score.. sir pls give me a suggestion..

it depends on both, both percentile and AIR helps to keep cutoff.

firstly i want to clear the doubts of some of the students that their scores are very low according to the easy paper this year...if you fall under OBC category then you must have scored 590 or above GATE score to get into NITs...and according to me if ur GATE score is above 685 then only you should try for IITs...(these scores are for CS stream with OBS reservation)
