i am akash, now i am studing in f.y.b.sc,
i want to ask that after b.sc, i can join indian navy as officer.

yes you can get job in navy after clearing the CDS(combined defence services) exam.you are also eligible for executive branch after clearing the SSC(short services commission) exam.

Yes, you can join Indian Navy as an officer in following way:

1.Graduate Special Entry Scheme (GSES)
Naval Academy, Goa
(Through UPSC)

Age:19 – 22

Educational Qualification:B.Sc (Physics & Maths) or BE

2.NCC Special Entry
Naval Academy, Goa

Age:19 – 24

Educational Qualification:B.Sc (Physics & Maths) or BE with Naval Wing Senior Div NCC ‘C’ Certificate

3.Short Service Commission (SSC) Executive/ Hydrography

Age:19½ – 25

Educational Qualification:Graduate (with Physics & Maths at 10+2 with 55% marks).

4.SSC Logistics Cadre

Age:19½ – 25

Educational Qualification:
B.A (Economics), B.Com or B.Sc (Physics and Maths) or BSc(IT), CA/ ICWA, Catering Technology

Yes definitely one can join Navy. The candidate should have studied Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as main subjects during their 10th class. The candidates can join Navy through CDS. They can opt in for the written examination. If short listed in the exam they can join Navy.

Hi dude,

To get in to indian navy you should satifty with the eligibility criteria which was set by the government.

In terms of education you need to be a graduate from a reconized university with a minimum percentage of 50%.

In terms of age, your age should lie between 17 to 21 years.

Another main thing is, you should be unmarried male who belongs to INDIA.

So as your are is 23 you are not eligible for INDIAN NAVY !

You can join Indian Navy after completing B.Sc(I.T) through C.D.S exam.
C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in the year.

Eligibility Criteria:-
> Pass graduation with any subject from recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year
> Medically fit
> Must be citizen of India.

Last date of receipt of form:-28.11.2011(MONDAY)

To join Indian Navy,there are two ways.They are

1.National Defense Academy(NDA) exams.

2.Combined Defense Academy(CDS) exams.

-->Both Conducts exams for selection of

1.Army

2.Navy

3.Air force

-->Both exams are conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA exams :-

-->You should pass in 12Th from any recognized board.

-->Age limit is 16.5 to 19years.

-->You Must be a Indian Citizen.

-->Only Unmarried Male Candidates are allowed.

-->Girls are Not eligible.

-->It conducts Twice in a year in the month of February and August.

Eligibility Criteria for CDS :-

-->You should be a Graduate from any recognized university.

-->NO minimum percentage is required.

Age limit :-

**For Indian Military 19 to 24years.
