CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. This is a national level entrance test for law aspirants. Fourteen national law universities takes part in it and each year in turns they conducts the examination. It is basically an objective test and apart from the CLAT participating universities other law colleges also accepts CLAT scores.

Generally the notification for this exam is released in the month of January every year for both undergraduate and postgraduate course. During the month of May the exam is conducted and in the last week of the same month the results comes out.

The post graduate course or LLM is a two year degree course and for this you need to have passed the LLB or BL degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.

In addition to that you need to secure at least 55% of marks at graduation level. For the reserved category candidates the marks to secure is 50%. This exam can also be given by the final year candidates.
