What is the age limit for OBC people to become an IPS officer.
And.
Is english is important for IPS officer if yes then how much.

To become an IPS you need to appear for the Civil Services exam conducted by the UPSC every year.

The minimum eligibility for Civil Services is as follows:

Educational Qualification:

Candidate must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university.
Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply.

Age Limits:

Candidate must be minimum 21 years of age as on 1st August of the year of the dxam.
Also upper age limit for general category is 30 years.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 3 years that is 33 years is uuper age limit for OBC.

Number of Attempts:

OBC candidates are allowed 7 attempts.

Only spoken is necessary for interview.

Age limit for OBC candidate for becoming an IPS officer is 33 years .For becoming an IPS officer you have to clear the civil services exam conducted by UPSC .As per the rules of UPSC age limit is given as follow :

Age Limits:

A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 year on the August of year in which the examination is held.
The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of some categories of candidates. i.e. ,candidates belonging in operation during hostilities with any foreign country, etc

For OBC candidate the maximum age relaxation is 3 years.

The normal age limit is 30 years. But for OBC the limit is 33 years. Incase you belong to this category then you will need submit proof of the same. English is one of the subjects in the mains. So you need to clear the same to become an IPS officer.

And for the interview can we give our interview in hindi.

the age limit for OBC candidates is 35 years and number of attempts are 7.so prepare well you can get it.if you opt in english it will be compulsory for you to answer in english on paper nad also interveiw otherwise if you opt hindi then you can answer in hindi.be confident in doing things...hope you good future .....all the best

If you want to become an I9S officer than in that case you have to give the Civil Services Exams conducted by UPSC

This exam is held for 24 posts and these are IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc


Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exams is:

No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Maximum 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
