Re: Am I eigible to attend SBI clerk after scoring 58% in 12th
According to the last SBI Clerk notification which came in 2012, one must be 10+2 pass with 60% marks or a Graduate in any discipline to become eligible for it.
There is relaxation in marks for SC/ST/PWD for 5% marks. As you have mentioned that you have got 58% marks in 10+2 which is below 60% marks. Hence if you belong to General category then you are not eligible for SBI Clerk. But if you belong to any of the reserved category which is mentioned above then you will get 5% relaxation of marks and you will become eligible for SBI Clerk. Now you can decide on the basis of you category. Age Limit for SBI Clerk: The age must be between 18 to 28 years. This age is for General candidates and reserved candidates get age relaxation. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation OBC : 3 years relaxation PWD ; 10 years relaxation Selection Procedure: -Written Exam -Interview Written exam objective type questions will be based on: -General Awareness -Quantitative Aptitude -Reasoning Aptitude -Computer and Marketing Aptitude -English Comprehension and Grammar For more information visit http://www.sbi.co.in |

Re: Am I eigible to attend SBI clerk after scoring 58% in 12th
SBI is the leading public sector bank in India.
Every year SBI will come up with the notifications for the recruitment of Clerical positions for SBI and also for SBI Associate Banks. This year the notification has not been released yet and everyone are waiting for the notification. As per your eligibility, I can not say that whether you are eligible or not eligible. The reason is you did not mention the category to which you belong to which will decide your eligibility to SBI Clerk Exam. Have a glance over the complete eligibility criteria. Academic Qualification: -One should have completed Graduation or 10+2 with minimum of 60% of marks. -Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC or ST category. Age criteria : Candidates of General category should be having an age between 18-28 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. The selection will include 2 rounds Written Exam Interview The written exam comprises of questions from Reasoning Numerical Ability General Awareness General English Computer Knowledge As per my knowledge, I can say you that SBI Clerk designation will be involved in marketing activities. If you are not interested to do marketing activities, then better don't apply for this exam. Check yourself whether you possess the above mentioned criteria or not. If you possess that criteria and if you are interested to crack this exam, you can apply for the exam once the notification is released. Wish you all the best. |

Re: Am I eigible to attend SBI clerk after scoring 58% in 12th
SBI Clerical exam is conducted to fill Clerk position in various branches of State Bank of India, the largest bank in India both in public sector and private sector.
The Clerical exam is conducted by the State Bank of India on annual basis. Although a candidate who has passed 12th standard is eligible but he/she should have minimum marks set for the exam. In your case, the marks are not sufficient enough to apply for the SBI Clerical entrance exam. Therefore the answer is no, you are not eligible. However there is no reason to be disappointed. You should complete graduation and then apply for the exam. By the time next exam is conducted, the criteria may be changed to graduation because government has made such recommendation. Already Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) has accepted the recommendation. It is expected that State Bank of India will follow suit. Which is why I will recommend you to complete graduation after which you can not only apply for the Clerical but Bank PO as well. SBI Clerical Eligibility 1. Exam can be taken by Indian citizen. 2. You should have passed 12th Class. 3. Subjects could be any of your choice. 4. At least 60 percent marks in 12th standard. 5. Graduation degree holders can also apply. 6. There is no marks criteria for graduates. 7. 18 years is the minimum age limit. 8. While 28 years is the upper age limit. 9. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 10. And 5 years for SC/ST. |

Re: Am I eigible to attend SBI clerk after scoring 58% in 12th
Quote:
Hi, No, with 58% marks in 12th, you are not eligible for SBI clerk exam. State Bank of India conducts bank clerk and bank PO exam itself and is not associated with IBPS. SBI bank only, considers intermediate passed candidates for bank clerk position. Eligibility criteria for SBI bank clerk exam ~~ Candidate should be intermediate with 60% marks. Candidate's age should be between 18 years to 28 years. Candidate should have computer knowledge. So, you can see that you are not eligible for SBI bank clerk exam. But you can apply for IBPS bank clerk exam, after graduation. After graduation, you can apply for SBI bank PO, IBPS bank clerk, IBPS bank PO exam, and for all these exams, there is no minimum percentage criteria. Hope you got your answer. |
