Hi everyone, I belongs to General category and I am 28 years of age. I want to apply for IBPS PO recruitment as well as RRB Clerk recruitment. So, with this age, am I eligible to apply or not? Please help me to know about this.

The full form of IBPS is Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection. IBPS conducts exam for clerk, Probationary officer, Specialist officer.

The age criteria:

1. For general candidates: 21-30 years in case of Probationary officer.

2. In case of clerk, it is 28 years for open category.

You can apply for both at age of 28 years.

Being a general category candidate and 28 years old, you are eligible to apply for IBPS PO recruitment as for the same the maximum age limit for general category candidate is 30 years. But, you are not eligible for clerical post as for the same the maximum age limit in case of general category candidate is 28 years.

Apart from the age limit, you need to be an Indian Citizen having completed your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Good communication skills and basic computer proficiency is also desired.

The age limit for PO is 20-30 years and also relaxation for reserved category.

But if you belong to reserved category then you are eligible to appear for IBPS Clerk recruitment examination. The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all stages for recruitment.

As you are already 28 , you are not eligible for the RRB conducted clerical examination as the upper limit is 28 years itself.
The age band of IBPS PO is 21-30 for a general category candidate .
So you are eligible for the above.
