Re: Am I eligible to apply for SBI Bank PO entrance exam?
State Bank of India is the biggest bank in India. It has the highest number of branches compare to any other private or public sector banks. While most Public sector banks depends of Institute of Banking Personnel Services to conduct Clerk and PO entrance exams, State Bank of India conducts its separate entrance exam.
In your case I am afraid that you are not eligible for any bank exam. You are not meeting the qualification requirement to appear for either Clerk or Bank PO exam by the State Bank of India. Unfortunately you can't even appear for the entrance exams by IBPS. The minimum qualification requirement to appear for banking exams for public sector banks in graduation degree. While in IBPS entrance exams, any candidate with graduation degree can appear for the IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO entrance exam, in the State Bank of India, apart from graduation degree you will have to meet percentage criteria as well. Therefore I will recommend that you should first consider about completing the graduation only then apply for the banking job. SBI Bank PO Eligibility 1. SBI only hires Indian citizens therefore only Indians are allowed to appear. 2. You should have graduation degree to appear for exam. 3. Minimum of 65 percent marks in graduation. 4. Reserve category candidates must have 60 percent marks. 5. Minimum age criteria is 21 years and maximum age to appear is 30 years. 6. However OBC candidates can appear for SBI PO till 33 years. 7. SC/ST candidates can appear till 35 years. |
