Profile:

State Bank of India (SBI) was established in the year 1806 in the state of Kolkata. The headquarter of the bank is situated in Mumbai. Om Prakash Bhatt is the chairman of the bank. SBI is the largest bank in the country and provides a range of banking products thoughs its vast network in the country.

Job profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Probationary Officers in Associate Banks of State Bank of India. Selected candidates are liable to be sent anywhere in the country.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be between 21 to 30 years of age as on 31 January 2010. Age relaxation as per rules.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates are required to have atleast class XII or Diploma after 10th with 60% marks in aggregate or Graduation with 55% marks in aggregate.

No. of posts: Total 1717 posts are available for the the position of Probationary Officers.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed salary of Rs. 17600/-

Selection process:

Candidates will have to undergo a written examination. Candidate’s performance in the examination will play a major part in the final selection for the posts.

How to apply: Candidates are required to apply online only through SBI website. Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees and get receipt from the branch. The receipt should be produced at the time of written test by candidates.

Last date for the reciept of Application is 31 January 2010.
