I am Chandrashekhar completed my Engineering Degree in 2006 with more than 60% agreegate. I am interested in Film Direction. I also worked as a software engineer for 2 years on contract basis. Presently i am not working and want to join FTII.

If you are Interested to join FTII, then please dont worry because you are eligible for FTII. The minimum eligibility for FTII is a bachelor's degree.

The eligibility criteria for admission to Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Acting and Feature Film Screenplay Writing is that the candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University.

And for admission to audiography course then you should have a Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject at 12th level. So, please dont worry, you are eligible for FTII.

But to get admission in FTII, You have to appear for entrance examination and after clear the entrance examination and Final Interview, you will get admission in FTII. If you are interested, then you can apply for FTII Online by visit the official website.

Eligibility for the course....

The minimum eligibility is a bachelor's degree. candidates willing to pursue a course in Audiography and TV engineering, should have Physics at 10+2 level besides a bachelors degree in any discipline. Similarly for the course in art direction, the candidate should either have a bachelor's degree an equivalent diploma in Architecture/painting/Applied Art/Sculptures/Interior designs or related fields in fine arts.

the eligibility for most of the courses in the FTII (Film and television institute of india) is a bachelor degree from any of the recognized college or university

so according to me you are absolutely eligible for the FTII course after passing the engineering course with more than 60% of the marks

Basically, For technical courses eligibility is 10+2. For other courses, Graduation(any) is the minimum qualification.

Selections
Aptitude tests and interviews are conducted by the respective colleges/universities to assess the candidate's talents.

Course Duration in Direction
For Film & TV Direction, 3 yrs
For TV Direction, 1 yrs

I have heard a college is providing 3 year DegreeS like BCA , BBA & all in 6 MONTHS ! ! ! Is that enough for FTII entrance ? ? ?
