Am I eligible for LLB after passing 12th(Non Medical)? Information about LLB or CLAT?


I am 12[non medical ]student and wants to do law,give eligibilityfor it and also give more info about llb or clat?

As you have passed +2 you are not eligible for LLB course you can go for Integrated law i.e % years course .

Here is given the detailed answer of your queries.

Eligibility Criteria for LLB

Educational criteria:

The person should be a graduate like B.A. or B.Com. or B.Sc. degree with minimum 40% marks (35% for SC / ST).

Post graduates can also do this course, and they will also get a 2% weight age.

Percentage and other criteria may vary depending upon the institute.

About LLB

LLB stands for Bachelor of Laws.

LLB is a very prestigious degree...The person with this degree fights against inequality and wrong deeds of all types in the society.

In India, There are two types of LLB courses:

1. 3 years LLB degree

2. 5 years integrated LLB Degree.


In 3 years degree, the educational eligibility is a graduate in any stream from a recognized university.

In 5 years degree, a LLB degree is conferred such as "B.A., LL.B. (Honours)", "B.B.A, LL.B. (Honours)", "B.Sc., LL.B. (Honours)", etc.

Both the types of degrees are recognized and are also qualifying degrees for practise of legal profession in India.

The types of jobs that you can get after completing LLB course are:

Advocates,
Attorney General,
District and Sessions Judge,
Law Reporters,
Legal Advisor's,
Magistrate,
Munsifs (Sub-Magistrate),
Notary,
Oath Commissioner,
Public Prosecutor,
Solicitors,
Teachers,
Trustees.


For applying in LLB courses, you have to sit for exams like CLAT, LAWCET etc.

The Entrance Exam is written test where questions are based on Reasoning, Mathematics, English and General Knowledge.

Eligibility

Eligibility for Under-Graduate Programmes

To be eligible to appear in CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and PWD).**
Candidates who have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.o
Age of candidate should not be more than 20 years in case of General/OBC candidates (22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with Disability)** as on 1st July, 2012.
o The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.
** Subject to State reservation at the University concerned.


Eligibility for Post-Graduate Programmes

To be eligible for appearing in CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability)*.
Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test**.
*Subject to state reservation at the University concerned
**The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof.

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING AND SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION FORMS:

Mode of obtaining Application form
Printed Application Forms along with the CLAT-2012 Information Brochure will be available at the designated branches (refer-www.clat.ac.in)* of the State Bank of India, or in any of Law Schools mentioned above against payment of Rs.3000/- only (Rs.2500/- in case of SC/ST/PWD on submission of proof) inclusive of test fee and bank charges.

Request for Application Form may be sent to the Convener, CLAT-2012, National Law University, Jodhpur, NH-65, Nagour Road, Mandore, Jodhpur -342 304 (Raj.) with a demand-draft of Rs.3000/- only (Rs.2500/- in case of SC/ST/PWD) drawn in favour of the National Law University, Jodhpur CLAT A/C and payable at Jodhpur (Rajasthan).

Note : Incomplete application or application received after the last date shall not be considered. University shall not be responsible for any postal/courier delay.


The past four years CLAT question papers will be available at all the 14 National Law Universities on payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. One Hundred Only). The question papers can also be obtained by post from National Law University, Jodhpur.
Candidates must enclose a demand draft of Rs. 150/- (Rs. One Hundred Fifty Only) in favour of “National Law University, Jodhpur CLAT A/C” payable at Jodhpur (Rajasthan). Application requesting the question paper should be addressed to
