If after completing my b.com i am eligible for doing mca and for writing the entrance exam icet for doing mca

There is a common myth that only science stream candidates can apply for the MCA course. This is not correct. Anyone who had Maths as one of the subjects in 12th can apply for the MCA course.

Masters of Computer Applications is a post graduate course in the field of computers which is ideal for students who love computers. The MCA course will make you expert in the fields of:

Apart from what I wrote in the beginning there are some other requirements to get admission for MCA course:

1. You should have Maths as one of the subjects in 12th board or graduation course.

2. You must complete graduation from a recognised university.

3. You need to score around 50-60 percent marks in graduation course. This criteria is different for each entrance exam and university. Therefore please check with the university you wish to apply.

4. If you meet the requirements 1,2,3 then you can appear in almost every single entrance exam for MCA. Bascially there are several entrance exams for MCA course. Some universities even conduct exam of their own.


Try to pass the MCA course with at least 60 to 70 percent for job in good MNC. Most leading IT companies would not accept a candidate who has scored below 60 percent marks in Masters of Computer Applications course. However apart from MCA, your performance in 10th, 12th and B.Com would also be evaluated.

If meet the requirements, you can get job in IT companies like:

Yes , you are absolutely eligible for pursuing MCA after completing your B.Com if you fulfill the below mentioned criteria :

* You must have completed your graduation with a minimum of 45% marks from any recognized college/university.

* You must have chosen Maths as one of your key subjects in your Higher Secondary(12th).

If you fulfill these two criteria , then you can go for admission in MCA in a number of colleges/universities.

Should be passed wth 50% in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 year's duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level.

Yes , You are eligible for MCA after completing B.Com but the eligibility criteria must be fulfilled for it as under-

1. The candidate should have complete graduation with that particular stream.

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a Postgraduate degree in computer application Streams awarded in India.[1] MCA is a three year (6 semester) course. The MCA programme is planned to have 5 or more theory subject plus two laboratories each semester. There are two projects in the course One Major and one mini.The students entering MCA must have a B.C.A./B.Sc./ B.Com/B.A. degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation. Of the 6 semesters one semester is to be spent in an industry developing a software system. The MCA programme is planned to have 5 theory subject plus two laboratories each semester. The curriculum has a strong core covering information technology, business management and mathematics.

You are eligible or not it depends on you stream which you have taken in your 12th if you have a maths subject in your 12th then you are eligible for MCA after your graduation.

You need to complete your graduation in any recognized institute with 50%.

Hi,

You just need to a be a Graduate with Mathematics as a paper in either 10+2 or in your graduation and then you are eligible for pursuing MCA.
There might be some universities like VIT who also seeks Mathematics at 10+2.
So, it is always better to see the admission notification of the university.
So, be happy you are eligible for pursuing MCA from most of the universities.

in my 10 2 level i have read a subject that is business mathamatics and i have also read modern computer application as my 4th subject .
in my B.com course we have a subject call Business Mathamatics and Stastic , and in 2nd year we will learn higher business mathamatics , now ia ma also doing GNIIT fro NIIT..
