After 12th Commerce there are lots of career options as well as job opportunities which you can opt as per your interest and efficiency.

You can opt for any under Graduate course like:-

-B.Com. - Bachelor of Commerce
-BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration
-BCA - Bachelor of Computer Application
-LL.B. - Bachelor of Law - 5 years Integrated Law Degree

Otherwise you can opt for any professional courses like:-

cost accountancy
B.com (then M.com and the fully academic line aiming to be lecturer)
after b.com you can opt for attempting the UPSC and stste level PSC exams which will give you a govt. job
BANKING and other private and public sector undertakings exams you can attempt.

If you had taken up Class 12th in Commerce stream, then there are a lot of career opportunities available for you. Provided that I must inform you about a few basic things :-

Science students can take up ANY course of the commerce as well as the arts stream but this fact is not true vice versa.
Commerce students can take up ANY Commerce or Arts graduation but no science course. BCA can be taken up by Commerce students only if they had Maths in 12th or graduation.
Arts students can ONLY take up graduation in the Arts streams.

Now coming to your query, first of all let us take a look at a few career options that you have :

Company Secretaryship
Chartered Accountancy
BCA and then MCA
BBA/B.Com and then MBA
Bachelor's in Mass Communication
Bachelor's in Economics
Stock Market Analyst
Commercial Lawyer

These are the few top ones which one can consider to choose a career from. Out of these CA, CS, BCA, Economics etc are the top courses for a commerce student and yield. So I would recommend these are the best for you..

BCA is a computer related course related to programming and networking. But only BCA wont be enough for you to get a good job and you would have to do MCA also along with it to get recruited in the top IT Companies and MNC's.

There are various streams which you can select for further Higher education.
But the final decision should be taken by you by keeping your Interest in that particular field.

The various course which you can select are:-

>>BBA(Bachelor of Business Administration).
>>BCA(Bachelor of computer Application) [You should take admission in this course only when you have Mathematics in 10+2 along with commerce ].
>>Intergrated MBA.[This is new course structure Running in few colleges of India ].
