The main courses in Pharmacy available to 12th passed students are the 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) & 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).

D.Pharm eligibility:
Admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), requires a pass in10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology.

B.Pharm eligibility:

Hey first of all just clear it up whether your from PCM or Bi.PC.

Only the students of Bi.P.C background are eligible for various exams like AIIMS,EAMCET,MHCET and other such common entrance test for entrance into medical stream of MBBS,BDS,B.pharmacy,..etc.
So,if your from Bi.P.C then you can surely go through the examination.

Sure you can pursue a course in Pharmacology. It is must that you should have completed 17years of age at the time of joining the course. Also you should have pursued either Physics and Chemistry along with Maths or Biology during 12th standard. You may be required to appear for entrance exams depending on the college you plan to join. Make sure to prepare well for the test.

The two major courses that you can join in pharmacy are
1. D. pharmacy
2.B. Pharmacy

D.pharmacy is for a period of 2 years. The name initial 'D' itself refers to that D.pharmacy is a diploma course for which you may not require any entrance test to get admission. On the basis of your percentage or score in PCM you will get admission in various colleges.

B.pharmacy is for a period of 4 years. You have to go through an entrance test and on the basis of your performance in entrance test, you will be given admission for B.pharmacy in several colleges. In AP, EAMCET is one entrance exam which will give admissions for B. pharmacy.

After graduate degree in pharmacy, M Pharma course of 2 years' duration can be undertaken.

Graduates in pharmacy can opt to do postgraduate study in biotechnology, particularly if they aspire to become research scientists.

Eligibility: 10+2 with 50% in PCB

To start your career in pharmacy, you need to opt for:

D. Pharma: It's a two-year diploma course in pharmacy.
B. Pharma: It's a complete four-year degree course in pharmacy.

So if you are in Class XII you may have to score 50% to apply for engineering and pharmacy courses.

It is expected that this increase in eligibility criteria will have a big impact of science students of Gujarat who are scoring just above the minimum pass percentage ie 35%. Even if the students score well in Guject, Gujarat Common Entrance Test, they have to score 50% in Physics and Maths along with Biology and Chemistry.

This rule in the eligibility criteria will greatly impact Gujarat Engineering and Pharmacy colleges. There are a total of 39,000 seats in the state and out the 39,000, 20,000 seats were filled by students who got less than 50% and students who got above 50% filled only 19,000 seats. What will happen to the 20,000 seats this year?

This situation is worse for Pharmacy colleges. 2500 seats out of 7500 seats remain unoccupied inspite of the 35% eligibility criteria. How many seats will remain vacant for the new 50% eligibility criteria?

This new rule has been welcomed by experts who think that this will make the students work harder which in turn will improve professional education’s standards. M N Patel, secretary of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) says that this will improve the quality of engineering who graduate out of colleges. IB Pirzada, director of Technical Education adds that this move is good and it will lead professional colleges to a higher level of education standards

Actually the students who have biology,physics and chemistry subjects in 12th standard will be enter into the Pharmacy or medicine stream.

but now maths, physics and chemistry subjects in 12th standard candidate are also allowed to the B.Pharmacy course.

As you enter B.Pharmacy course with 12th (PCM),you will be learning the subjects in the first year which you have not learned in 12th standard,like biology,Botony.
Where as for BiPC (biology, physics, chemistry) background in 12th standard, will be learning math subjects in the first year of B.Pharmacy

Basically pharma course is made for Biology stream and your background is also with the subjects of PCB.
so you are eligible for the pharma exam which is governed by state or central govt.

For Pharmacy course you need to pass in10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology.

If you campleted 12th class from PCB then you are eligible
for the Pharmacy course because the minimum eligibility

Its better that you first do B.Pharmacy which is a 4 years course, then do M.pharmacy which is a 2 years course.
