Am i eligible for PO in bank? My marks in 10th standard 45% and in 12th 55% and in graduation till second year in b.com average is 37%. Please i do sir.

You need to complete graduation to apply for the position of bank P.O. No specific marks are mentioned by banks for P.O position. Age of the applicant must be below 30 years. You can submit applications through the web portal of UPSC. Further details on eligibility can also be collected from this web portal.

Dear friend,

For PO bank exam Graduation marks were important mim 50%.

So 10th marks not taken into consideration.

After completing graduation degree you will be eligibility for Bank PO/clerk exam.

Now for banking exam IBPS is the common entrance exam for 20 major banks.

General Eligibility Criteria for for Bank PO Post:
You must have passed Graduation degree in any stream from recognized university.
Final year candidates also appear in this exam on provisional basis.
You must have secured minimum of 50% marks.
Your age must be in between 20 to 30 years (3 year relaxation for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST/PH candidates).
You should be An Indian Citizen.

Eligibility Criteria To Appear In The Bank Exams

1. You should be Indian citizen.

2. Any graduation degree is enough including B.Tech.

3. You don't need to maintain any minimum percentage.

4. The age limit is 20 on the lower side and 30 on the higher side.

5. OBC candidates are given 3 years relaxation as per govt rules.

6. Similarly SC and ST are given 5 years relaxation.


You don't Need to maintain any minimum percentage. Heance you are fully eligible to apply for the post of PO in banks.

I am sorry to say that after passing graduation with 37% marks you are not eligible for Bank P.O exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR BANK P.O:-
> Pass graduation with any stream with minimum 55% marks from recognized board.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 50% marks is require.
> Age limit for bank clerk is 21-27 year.
> For ST/SC candidate 21-30 year.
> Candidate must be citizen of India.

Being Graduation 2nd Year candidate your not applicable for Bank PO Entrance Examination ..

Only After Completing your graduation course without any arrears make the candidate eligible for Bank PO Entrance Examination ..

So,I suggest you to Complete your B.com Course without any arrears then Surely your applicable for Bank PO Entrance Examination ..

You are in 2nd year of your graduation degree so now you are not applicable for any PO Exam.Bank Po exam not require any percentage marks .

Mainly three types of Bank conduct PO Exam .

IBPS PO Exam:-

IBPS conduct this exam for recruiting PO candidate for 20 banks.

Only graduate candidate can apply here , But your age should be in between 21 to 30 year old.

SBI PO Exam:-

If you have graduation degree then you are eligible.Your age should be in between 21 to 30 year old.

ICICI PO Exam:-

ICICI PO exam requires 55% marks in graduation degree.Your age should be in between 21 to 27 years old.

Sorry friend 10th pass are not eligible for Bank PO examination. So just take admission in class 11th and study till Graduation then you will be eligible for Bank PO.

Firstly, you complete your graduation, then you can appear for bank PO examinations.

If you are applying for Bank PO entrance exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services, then please do not worry. You are eligible for the Bank PO exam if completed the graduation.

There are mainly two types of PO exam:

1.IBPS PO exam
2.SBI PO exam



If you have completing your graduation degree from a recognized university after you are eligible for IBPS PO exam...

There is no criteria for percentage...

The candidate selected for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) must also have knowledge about basic computer handling....

Age Limit should be between 21-30 years for general category (OBC +3 SC/ST +5)....

P.O. - Probationary Officer, the exam for which is generally conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection)

Scoring of percentage of marks in 10th standard, is not a criteria for bank P.O. exam.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised university within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good knowledge over computer operation.

Some private bank need percentage of marks criteria more than 60% for application to bank P.O.

there is a need of some points to be illustrated in respect to your eligibility for bank PO and are as follow-

> as you have mentioned that you'r a B.Com. second year student so you need to wait till you complete your graduation, as degree from a recognized university is the minimum educational eligibility required.

> 10th, 12th marks has no importance in respect to eligibility.

> in SBI, IBPS(which conduct exam for 20 nationalized banks) there is no specific % required in graduation to be eligible.
But private and other bank's has mandate a minimum 50-60% in graduation.
*whatsoever the case may be, you should not have any arrears.

> Most Importantly- although your 10th, 12th and graduation % does not play any role in written exams but they do have an importance in Interviews.
