No there is no such previleges for engineers or any others
except for reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC and PD candidates UPSC has a very good well organized Examination code once go through the examination code of civil services examination in the official website of UPSC the link for the official web link is www.upsc.gov.in wishes ~aditya~

Dear friend,
Indian police service is the exam conducted by UPSC.Their is no reservation for Engineering candidate but few relaxation for SC/ST candidate. These exam consist in two part preliminary and mains exam.The preliminary held in the month of may-june whereas main held in oct-nov month. Preliminary exam consist of following section: *General studies*Optional subject For form detaisl keep watch employment newspaper in th month of december either keep visit www.upsc.gov.in
