The online submission of The application for the -UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2011 has commenced from 1st March 2011.

The last date of online submission is 31st March 2011.

The CSIR-UGC NET June 2011 is scheduled to be held on 19th June 2011.

The last date of receipt of duly completed Hard Copy of online application forms is 5th April 2011.

Candidates applying for the Test may obtain the Information Bulletin and Application forms (inclusive of fee payable) through the branches of the INDIAN Bank (within the prescribed dates) by paying the following fee in cash :

In order to apply Online the candidates are required to download Bank challan Performa from the above website and the deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches through out the country Candidates after successfully submitting application online are required to take print out of the Application Form, paste his / her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send alongwith CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelop to the following address so as to reach on or before 05.04.2011 ( 12.04.2011 for remote areas ).

UGC NET examination is held twice in a year in the month of June and December. the notification for June examination is published on March and the notification for December examination is published on September. the notification generally published in Employment news and in the official website of UGC http://www.ugc.ac.in/


for JUNE NET examination notification is not given in the website. bur it will published within few days. visit the website regularly to get the notification. the eligibility criterion and syllabus of the examination given in the above mentioned website.

UGC NET Application procedure : The candidates can apply offline or online .

• Offline Application: You can get the information bulletin & application form by -
  (a) Submitting the application fee of Rs. 400 (Rs. 200 for OBC & Rs. 100 for SC / ST / physically or visually handicapped) at the bank branches mentioned
• (b) Or, can get it by post from the Indian Bank, 3/1, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi-110008, by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 400/-. Rs. 200/- or Rs. 100/- (as the case may be) drawn in favour of ‘Indian Bank, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi’ payable at New Delhi. you just have to sent the request with 2 self addressed slips to the bank. The address should be mentioned clearly where you want the application form to be dispatched by VPP.

• Online Application : You can submit the application form online also. You have to first download the bank challan Performa from the official website www.csirhrdg.res.in.

Then submit the application fee at any of the Indian bank branches. Then submit the application form online through the same website mentioned above. Then take out the print out of the application form, paste the recent black & white photograph, put the signature, attach the required certificates & send with the CSIR marked copy of fee deposited bank challan in an envelop to Senior Controller of Examinations, HR development group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library avenue, Pusa, New Delhi 110012.

Kindly note that UGC-CSIR NET exams are different and UGC NET exams are different. The notification for UGC-CSIR NET exam is declared and not for UGC NET exam. Hence, people should avoid confusing the two as the two are totally different.

UGC NET exam is held for 93 applied science/non-science subjects, while UGC-CSIR NET Exam is held for pure science subjects such as Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science and Mathematics.
