Being a 34 years old graduate am I eligible for BPSC exam?


I am 34 years old and graduate in computer science hons with maths and physics. I have bachelor degree in computer science am I eligible for BPSC exam?

No, you are not eligible for BPSC exam.

BPSC stands for Bihar Public Service Commission exam

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree in Mathematics/ Chemical Engineering/civil Engineering/economics/ Geology/ natural science/ Mechanical Engineering are eligible for BPSC exam.

Your age should be in between 19 to 40 years.

Selection process for BPSC exam:-

Preliminary Examination: Covers objective type questions
Main Examination: Subjective type questions Interview:
Personal interview questions

Yes you are eligible to apply for BPSC examination.

Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification: You need to possess a graduation degree in any one of the following subject:-
  • Natural Science
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Geology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Agriculture or Economics
Age Criteria: The lower age limit for this exam is 19 years and the upper age limit is 40 years.

Selection Process:-
  • Preliminary Exam
  • Main Exam
  • Interview session
The preliminary exam is an objective type qualifying exam where there will be questions from Mathematics, General Knowledge and English.

The Main Exam mainly consists of subjective type questions and you will be given the option to choose two subjects from a list of subjects and questions will be asked from those two subjects only. The list of all the subjects is given below:
  • Geology
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Economics
  • Statistics
  • Agriculture
  • Zoology
  • Chemistry

Yes,You can write the BPSE(Bihar Public Service Commission) exam.
The maximum age of the candidate to apply for the BPSC exam is 37 yrs.(Age limit 21-37)
There is the relaxation of 3yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST.
