Both mechanical and computer science engineering are competitive fields and have their own importance. There is no way of comparing MECHANICAL and CSE together and weigh them to see which is better... cause both are different streams and have equal opportunities and career prospects. So, just go with your passion. But one thing I would say that just go for the reputed colleges only as you will get good industrial exposure, better faculty, learning and placement opportunities there. Look forward to get in to any of the IITs, NITs or good private ones like UPES Dehradun, BITS Pilani, K.J. Somaiya etc..and you would never regret of your decision of choosing this stream. Good luck
