Sandepani was good institute but after VDK sir left it, it does not have good faculty. They had stopped giving VLSI course some time back but have started again.
RV-VLSI does not have good faculty. They ask un-placed people of their previous batches to take classes. Though they have good tools.
Other institutes do not have good course.
Seeing all this, we (group of working professional from leading VLSI companies) train freshers(BE and Mtech) for industry. Analog IC Design and Backend are two different things. Generally Backend refer to ASIC P&R flow.

As per my knowledge of VLSI Institutes In bangalore IIVDT And RV-LSi are the two institute which teach complete ASIC flow including backend. Advanced Diploma of both have Analog Layout modules using Virtuoso toolset. For Digital Backend IIVDT is using 45 nm technology where as RV-VLSI is using 180 nm technology.

In my research RV-VLSI and IIVDT are best VLSI training institutes in Bangalore as they have complete VLSI design flow capabilities.

Earlier Sandeepani used to be good but there focus is now shifted towards corporate trainings and now mostly retail training happens in FPGA. They still are very good at FPGA training as they are authorized trainers for Xilinx.

All other institute are opened by ex-AE's of either Cadence, Mentor or Synopsys and mostly teach ASIC verification methodologies and a bit of front-end design.

I completed my M,Tech degree in VLSI recently and looking for a job in VLSI filed.i totaly confused on whether to do a course in VLSI (.can any one can suggest good vlsi training centre with good placements record in bangalore or pune.I heard about Maven Silicon and Silicon interfaces.......

if u want good career then try for c-dac or vector.for c-dac u wil need to appear in a exam and for vector u go and contact with then by ph..vector is quite economic and campus recruitment is good there............
