Re: Which is a better college for Petrolium Engineering : Pandit Deen Dayal University or UPES Dehradun?
Hello............ I feel that UPES is way better than Deen Dayal university. One of my friends has graduated from there in the year 2009 and is currently working in HPCL Visakhapatnam. It has great infrastructure with state of the art facilities and is favoured by companies like HPCL and Reliance petroleum.
Just have a look at the following points- +UPES is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and is the first university under Public-Private Partnership. +UPES is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) also. +UPES' oil and power sector courses are accredited by the Energy Institute, UK. +UPES is a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU). +UPES is an ISO compliant institutions since 2005 and is presently certified as an ISO 9001:2008 institution Forms are already out.you can apply on http://www.upes.ac.in/admissions-2010.html. ALL THE BEST |

hii
a better college for Petrolium Engineering : Pandit Deen Dayal University or UPES Dehradun would suggest you to go for UPES Dehradun. Two of my friends are pursuing B.tech from there and they have always given me positive feedback about the university. Otherwise, as for UPES, i would say one of its kind, this university is well-known for its unique academic programs, well qualified faculty and good placements. And, i am sure studying here would bring a significant positive edge to your career. Otherwise, for more detailing, you can change these links - http://upes.ac.in/ http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/UniversityofPetroleumandEnergyStudies that UPES is way better than Deen Dayal university. One of my friends has graduated from there in the year 2009 and is currently working in HPCL Visakhapatnam. It has great infrastructure with state of the art facilities and is favoured by companies like HPCL and Reliance petroleum. Though both universities are good but if you are interested in core sector programs then you should look for UPES. it is one of the famous universities in pan asia region for its faculty and infrastructure.

Re: Which is a better college for Petrolium Engineering : Pandit Deen Dayal University or UPES Dehradun?
GO FOR PDPU....
I AM STUDENT OF UPES, hey i recommend all not to go for UPES, as i know better than others , being the student of upes. even after being topper i got a salary of 18000 per month, and same is the case with all my friends here in upes. others did not get any job......... special features are -after spending 12 to 15 lacks of rupees on your b.tech, if u are a topper, u will get a job of 18000 rupees a month. -if you are not in top 10 students out of 70 in any branch , no placement for you. -after completing your b.tech from here if you do not get job, there is no chance for off campus placement. -education system here is very poor, neither teachers (most of them) nor students have even the basic knoweledge of their subjects. -due to lack of knoweledge of subjects, if they are not placed, they can not even think of qualifying entrance exam for any futher studies from other institue (like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, and othe PSU exams) -you can not apply for civil services such as IAS, PCS...etc., because the b.tech degree is not valid. -university is not affaliated with AICTE, so you can not apply for any government job. SO PLEASE NEVER GO TO UPES, DO NOT EVEN FILL THE ENTRANCE FORM, BEING THE STUDENT OF UPES, I DO NOT WANT OTHERS TO DESTROY THEIR LIFE....................................... SO GO FOR PDPU.... |

Re: Which is a better college for Petrolium Engineering : Pandit Deen Dayal University or UPES Dehradun?
The above post is incorrect...I beg your pardon but am an alumani of the university myself and know quite a number of people in Govt. Job...the B.tech degree is very well valid. There are students now pursuing MS from prestigious universities in USA...not really a possibility with fake degree. I'd strongly recommend UPES for energy related courses like oil and gas and not for electronics/electrical
Off campus placements are very well possible...I myself managed one (and this is after I got a college placement too). Infact, the university's placement rate has never gone below 75%, all my batch-mates were placed |
