hi,
i am anshul jain, a final year engineering student in Information technology field.
I dont know whether to do M.E. soon after B.E. completion or i must prepare for job interview?
please help me to know what is better?

Look dear if you are interested in higher studies than no doubt go for M.TECH it is masters degree and will enhance your career for M TECH you need to crack GATE but if you are not interested in higher studies than start preparing for jobs because after B TECH itself you will be offered for good job .

it entirely depends on your choice if you have more attention to higher studies then go for it or choose other option

latest trend is that most of the people take a job and then after apply for higher studies to become self dependent.

its better to continue your higher studies i,e, M.tech

because in this job market any effect in the global scenario will first effect the fresh graduate students

if you take your job trails you have to struggle a lot to settle in life

if not like that if you pursue your m.tech in any good reputed institutes like

iit's

nit's

or any other good institutes then

jobs will be back of you

my advice is to continue your studies and expand your chances

hi friend,
u can do prepare for ME after completion of your BE degree it will be better to get promotion in your company,but u can also get good job after BE nowadays companies requires experience mostly so if u will get experience in that two years at the place of doing ME then i think it will be better,n also u can do ME in that period by distance learning education.

For the field of Information technology there are more job opportunities by the year of 2011 in top MNC's. So as you are in the final year, you will have lot of opportunities by the time you finish your course.

When comes to PG in this field, you will have more opportunities as a lecturer. So if you are interested in teaching you can go for PG.

Or else the best thing I suggest is to start preparing for Job interview. This is the right time to start preparing. Try to work out Aptitude, Communication Skill and Technical skill.

If you are interested in lectureship,research work then go for M.E.
Otherwise prepare for interview if you are interested for company jobs.

It completely depends upon you,where is your interest.If you wish to do jobs then go for interview preparation,or if you wish to do ME/M.Tech then do it after BE.because experts says after few years jobs it is not possible to study further.

What are your options to go for higher studies or work. If you prefer to do higher studies and later in teaching or research, join for M.E, but if your option is a job, them try for it. Most of the companies give an option for higher studies. Then you can grab that offer according to the interest and the job nature.

What I suggest is that you prepare your subjects very well and try for both the options. Sit for the entrance exams for Master's degree like GATE and parallely go for campus or off campus interviews. It will be better to have a work experience before Master's degree.

Doing job & pursuing higher education are 2 different options after passing BE. Both options has their own merit. Which option to choose should be decided by you depending up on your career objective, interest, knowledge & skill.

If you are interested in research & development field or want to build your career in teaching line then you should opt for ME.

You can take up job if you are not interested in further studies i.e. ME. BE (IT) offers good career prospects with handsome salary & an opportunity for career growth & advancement.

Dear Friend

I would suggest you to for M.Tech. or M.E. rather than spending time in
preparing for Job Interviews.

If you prepare for job after BE by sitting at home and doing nothing
you will get difficulty in getting a job even if you are very much prepared.

Actually, if you don't get a job while studying or just after that, you get a
career drop in your career. In private companies such candidates are called,
'candidates with fresher tags'. You will always be asked, why didn't you get
job till now? and you would probably not have a convincing answer.

You can prepare for PSUs but that too use to be long selection procedure
and for that you shouldn't stop your study. You can apply for a PSU and
in parallel to that take admission in MTech. If get selected in job then
everything is fine and if not your MTech is running as a backup.

If you take admission in MTech then your chances of getting job increases
because of increse in technical knowledge and also many more opportunity
comes in picture.

One more benefit is that if you take admission on the basis of GATE you will
get scholarships in mostly colleges. Hence, the problem of money will
not trouble you. If during M.Tech you seriously find interest in some topic you
can go for PhD too. During PhD also, you will get the fellowship.

If after doing MTech you get a job then its very good.
If not, go for a PhD. You can become lecturer and then professor.
Take your decisions wisely.

If you want to go for R & D , or a teaching profession M tech is better. other wise go for job, If u already have experience you should do M Tech for promotion.

Choosing a career option is completely a personal choice. You can do a simple exercise to guide to better. Try to write down on a piece of paper what you want to be after 5 years down the line. Also mention what are the things that make to happy. This will give you the much needed clarity on what is the best choice ME or JOB in long run in terms of money and happiness.

yes,i agree.but,if didn't got the job then only perfer the M.E or i got a opperunitity to got set in top university like iit,nit,bits,vit.......perfer the m.E.else i join job in whatever small company & get the knowledge with experiance. u can walk to moon with the company knowledge

In my opinion, first you go for GATE coaching then try for it, if u have have got GATE rank and got a seat in IITs or in NITs thats well and fine(in nits calicut, trichy, warangal, suratakal are good dont opt beyond these and some universities like HCU are good), if u didnt get a seat then using GATE knowledge, u can easily get a job in any of the companies. This is my opinion because only in top universities u will get good knowledge in Masters, doing masters in ordinary college is waste of time, it will better to go for experience.

Is gate only for research or teaching profession?????

I have completed b.tech with aggre of 57%. can i do m.tech after 2 years. in m.tech which field is best for ece students.
