Being a graduate you need to choose between technical and non technical career. Pursue MBA only if you are interested in a non technical career. If you choose technical field then MCA certainly would be the better choice. This course is considered at par with B.Tech qualification. Normally the salary offered is almost equivalent to B.Tech candidates.

The job opportunity of MBA is still high so in my opinion MBA is always a safe bet and you should go for it.
Different types of MBA programmes are available. You can choose one based on your interests. Although it is advisable to go for the full time programme only. A list of MBA Entrance exams can be given to pursue this course namely, CAT, MAT, XAT, EMAT etc. Some of the top institutes conducts their own exam to select students. To give the CAT exam you need to have minimum 50% of marks and the exam will generally test your skills on the following subjects: quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpreation, reading comprehension. If you do not have the stipulated marks to sit for CAT exam then you can go for XAT for which no specific percentage needs to be maintained. You just need to pass and that is it. Top Areas of Specialization includes marketing, finance, HR, insurance and risk management, media management, operation management, pharmaceutical management, telecom management, media management etc. After completing this course you are most likely to get jobs in the following sectors: Banking sectors, IT industry, telecom sectors, defense sectors, aviation industry, logistic companies etc. Top MBA Institutes: Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University (FMS) Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies SP Jain Institute of Management & Research Institute of Management Technology Management Development Institute Xavier Institute of Management International Management Institute |
